Ondo state APC settles with candidate ready for election
The candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the forthcoming
gubernatorial election in Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, says he has
no grudge against the state party chairman, Isaac Kekemeke.
Speaking after a closed-door meeting with the party chairman at residence in Akure, Akeredolu says he met with the chairman to discuss how the party would be victorious in the forthcoming governorship election.
Things fell apart between Akeredolu and Kekemeke before the primary election of the party over the issue of alleged endorsement of an aspirant.
The party had been engulfed in crisis following the rejection of the recommendation of the Electoral Appeal Committee by the National Working Committee of the party.
The committee had recommended that the result of the September 3, 2016 primary election should be annulled.
