CP's Familiarization visit to His Excellency the Executive Governor of Bauchi State.

The newly  posted commissioner of Police, Bauchi State Command, CP Zaki M.Ahmed  and his management team paid a familiarization visit to  His Excellency the Executive Governor of Bauchi state, Mohammed A. Abubakar Esq at Government House Bauchi.
       
The CP. was welcomed with his management team by the Governor, while senior government officials were in attendance .The CP Stressed that his policy trust center's on 1.Intelligence led policing 2.Proactive Policing 3.Human Rights based policing( HRBP)4.Civil/Democratic Policing.

The CP also spoke on various proactive strategies to include visibility policing,raids of criminal hideouts, black spots,flash points. Also promising to build capacity of his personnel for enhanced policing. He further advocated community partnership policing which he said is inline with IGP Ibrahim k.Idriss mni,psc(+) core values as a panacea for synergy between the police & the general public. The CP also emphasize on inter agency collaboration with other sister agencies whose need and importance can't be over emphasized.          

The CP further stressed on continuing the meeting with the forum of eminent personalities in compliance with IGP Directive. He said holding the town hall meetings is geared towards interaction,to hear & proffer possible solutions, from various community's stakeholders for the purpose of fighting crime in the state as Area Commands & divisions have already key in.

On part of the security challenges, the Police boss promised to tackle those challenges especially the emergence of cattle rustling /Kidnappings in the state he urge all sundry to cooperate with the police to provide information to assist in fight of the heinous crimes.

Responding, the Executive Governor Mohammed A. Abubakar Esq welcomed the CP to Bauchi State and assured him of government support & determination in fighting crime in the state. The governor further stated the state which is part of north east geopolitical zone is relatively calm,which he attributed to God Almighty & also noted that the state started witnessing a  spring in crimes such cattle rustling/kidnapping and other crimes but with continued commitment of the Police & other security agencies the crimes have been reduced.

Finally, the CP express enthusiasm & thank the Bauchi State Government and promise to work in conformity with Constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria,Police Act & regulations, international best practices, police core values,standard operational procedures and all other extant laws,policies e.g community policing to reduce  crimes to barest minimum in Bauchi state.
