“Here in Enugu, we usually board a Keke, myself and my friend, Kennedy Ihunegbo, who is now dead; we will ask the Keke rider to take us to our building site at Ugwuaji; on getting there, we will ask him to help us load some items into the keke; once he bends down, one of us will use hammer and hit him on the head until he dies.

“We will now bury him in a shallow grave, which we usually dug at a building foundation within the Enugu-Port Harcourt Express Way.”

THE Rivers State Police Command on Thursday declared an ex-militant leader, Solomon Ndigbara, wanted for alleged arson. Ndigbara, who hails from Yeghe in the Gokana Local Government of Rivers State, was said to have ordered the burning of a building. The command disclosed this in a statement issued in Port Harcourt on Wednesday by its Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ahmad Muhammad. Solomon is also the suspect who allegedly assassinated an APC Chieftain and a lecturer yesterday in Rivers for writing a letter against him. Cross River State Governor Ayade Shocks Workers, Pays May Salary On May 1st

Cross River State Governor, Professor Ben Ayade today stunned the organized labour in the state when he announced the payment of salaries for the month of May on the first day of the month. A mild drama immediately ensued when the workers who were at the U.J. Esuene Stadium for the May Day celebration each began to receive salary payment alert from their various banks. Unable to contain the excitement, shouts of ‘alert alert alert rent the stadium as the workers went into a frenzy, singing the praises of the governor. Before now, the governor had paid salaries between the 13th and 20th day of each month.
