The Kaduna State Government on Monday chided the organised labour on threats to proceed on strike if the government failed to stop ongoing verification of workers. A statement by Gov. Nasiru El-Rufa’i through his media aide, Samuel Aruwan, on Monday in Kaduna warned that any worker that failed to participate in the verification exercise would be removed from payroll. It said the that the verification was compulsory, as it would aid the administration in updating its pay record. BBM for Android and iOS could be with us in days, as the struggling company admits to the world it faces "challenging times." Yeah, we won't hold our breath. The Blackberry Messenger app was scheduled for a release date weeks ago for iOS and Android, but the deadline came and went before BlackBerry finally admitted it wasn't ready to release the app, blaming imposter apps on the Google Play -- despite coughing up the iOS app onto the Apple App Store in a couple of lucky countries. Don’t Smear Amaechi’s Name, Kinsmen Warn PDP, NASS

Kinsmen of the Minister of Transportation, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, on Saturday warned the Peoples Democratic Party and the National Assembly not to damage the integrity of the minister over the alleged non-inclusion of the Lagos-Calabar Railway project in the 2016 Budget. The relatives of the former governor of Rivers State, who came together under the aegis of Concerned All Progressives Congress Members, explained that the saga was a blackmail to smear Amaechi’s image. The APC members from Ikwere Local Government Area of the state also drummed support for the minister, stating that Amaechi has always maintained a high sense of responsibility in public offices.
