PRESIDENT BUHARI CONGRATULATES OBASEKI, OSHIOMHOLE ON VICTORY AT POLLS

President Muhammadu Buhari Thursday in Abuja congratulated the government and people of Edo State on the successful conclusion of the gubernatorial election, and the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Godwin Obaseki at the polls.  In a telephone call to Governor Adams Oshomole, President Buhari commended the well-articulated campaign programme of the APC in the state, the doggedness of the governor, governor-elect and party members in going round the state to reach the people with records of good governance over the years and a promise of continuity.  According to the President, the outcome of the election clearly reflected the mood of the people to sustain the pedigree of responsiveness, forthrightness and diligence that Governor Oshomole brought into the service of his people.  ‘‘The victory is good for democracy, for Nigeria and the people of Edo State,’’ he said.  President Buhari said the victory was well-deserved as the campaig...

CP's Familiarization visit to His Excellency the Executive Governor of Bauchi State.

The newly  posted commissioner of Police, Bauchi State Command, CP Zaki M.Ahmed  and his management team paid a familiarization visit to  His Excellency the Executive Governor of Bauchi state, Mohammed A. Abubakar Esq at Government House Bauchi.         The CP. was welcomed with his management team by the Governor, while senior government officials were in attendance .The CP Stressed that his policy trust center's on 1.Intelligence led policing 2.Proactive Policing 3.Human Rights based policing( HRBP)4.Civil/Democratic Policing. -Total Number of People Registered:749,000 -FG to commence Training of Applicants The Federal Government social investment programme aimed at recruiting 500,000 graduates and 100,000 trainees said it has received 749,000 applications as at the close of the online portal on 31st of August. The Special Assistant to the President on Social Investment Programme, Mariam Uwais who stated this while speaking to journalists in Abuja said the N-power program received application from all the 774 Local government areas of the country with the highest applicants coming from Lagos, Oyo, Rivers and Bauchi. She said they are in the process of compiling the application and commence training of successful applicants by October adding that the training would last a period of one month before the participants are deployed to states to provide extension services. President Muhammadu Buhari Friday in Abuja commended the Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of social networking website, Facebook, Mark Elliot Zuckerberg for sharing his wealth of knowledge with Nigerian youths, and inspiring a new generation of entrepreneurs.
