Manchester United Bans Marcus Rashford

Despite his heroics on the pitch, saving the Old Trafford team many times this tough season, Manchester United teenage sensation, Marcus Rashford has been banned by the management of the club from using Carrington dressing room like other A-team members.

Although the young striker continued his outstanding start to his senior career with the Manchester derby winner, he is still banned from the first-team dressing room, reports Daily Mirror UK on Sunday.

According to the report, hero Rashford isn’t allowed to change in the first-team dressing room at Manchester United’s training ground

Rashford, who scored the winning goal against City in the Manchester derby at The Etihad Stadium last Sunday and has helped save United’s season with five goals in eight appearances in the last month, hasn’t yet earned the right to sit alongside the senior stars at the club’s Carrington complex.

Tough Dutch boss van Gaal insists Rashford and other first team youngsters like Guillermo Varela, James Weir, Joe Riley, Donald Love and Regan Poole must change in the Under-21 dressing room with their own age groups.

After donning their kit Rashford and the rest of van Gaal’s youngster then join up with the senior players like David de Gea, Juan Mata, Michael Carrick, Daley Blind, Morgan Schneiderlin and Anthony Martial on the first team training pitch.

When the session is over they then return to the Under-21 dressing room – and it’s the same for lunch. The youngsters sit in their own age group while the senior stars lunch together.

Van Gaal, his assistant Ryan Giggs and new Acadamy boss Nicky Butt say they want to keep their young stars grounded and aren’t keen to give the stars of the future all the first team privileges immediately.

And that’s why Rashford and the other young guns who have been handed first team games recently are being made to wait to be fully integrated with the senior stars.
Confirmed United last night: “Marcus still uses the Under 21 dressing room at Carrington but he’s not the only one. All the rest of the young players who have made their debut’s recentlydo the same.

“It’s the manager’s policy to leave them with their own age groups for now and it’s his decision when they are invited to change with the senior players at Carrington.”

Mirror UK quoted another source as saying through Sunday People Sport: “The coaches are keen none of the young players gets carried away just because they have made some first team appearances.

“They have to earn the right to make the next step up with the seniors. They all know the score and are happy with that. Staying with their own age group helps keep them grounded.

“They will get the call to the senior dressing room at Carrington when the manager

The Manchester-born star was upgraded from the bench into the starting side minutes before the Euro game after Martial tweaked a hamstring during the warm-up. And he made an instant impact scoring twice against the Danish minnows to announce his arrival.

The youngster followed up three days later with another two goals against Arsenal at Old Trafford as United beat the Gunners 3-2.
