Bode George Contributed To Our Defeat - Lagos PDP

Image
The acting Chairman of the Lagos State Peoples Democratic Party, Kamaldeen Olorunoje, has accused a former National Deputy Chairman of the party, Bode George, of contributing to the party’s defeat. Mr Olorunoje, who emerged acting chairman of the party after the suspension of the substantive chairman, Capt. Tunji Shelle, said this during a press conference in Lagos on Thursday. While reacting to the defection of several Lagos PDP chieftains to the All Progressives Congress, Olorunoje said, “Chief Babatunde Olorogun-Etti left, Dr. Yomi Finnih left, Chief Olorunfunmi Basorun. All these people left because of one person, Chief Bode George. “We all come from Lagos Island. Olorogun-Etti is from Ward E3 while George is from E2. If as a leader you are losing people in your local government, it calls for questioning and Olorogun-Etti was in Chief George’s caucus. “For Lagos State, his leadership has not yielded any fruit. I respect him a lot but a lot needs to be said. He must be

National Assembly Can't Stop Us From Cutting Their Salaries – Revenue Agency

Image
The Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) has said that despite the National Assembly’s disagreement over the downward review of salaries and allowances of political office holders, nothing would deter it from its mandate. The commisison's PRO, Ibrahim Mohammed, said “Presently, the commission is reviewing the salaries and allowances of all political office holders. When we are done, it will be submitted for approval. “However, the legislators cannot change whatever we set for them as salaries and allowances. The law does not allow them to do so." Speaking to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Thursday, Mohammed added that only the commission had the constitutional right to determine the salaries of political office holders. “They can only make input into whatever we propose for the president and others. So their disagreement will not stop us," he assured. It would be recalled that an adhoc committee was constituted to slash

If this is true, then this is funny and sad! According to twitter user, Alex Tackie and a few others, President Mugabe allegedly fired his Chief of Defense Forces, seen seated next to his wife in the pic above - for his close contact with his wife and staring at her butt when she bent down. Hilarious isn't it? See that pic after the cut...

Buhari Reveals damning fraud to Abdulsalam, Others

Image
Former military head of state General Abdulsalam Abubakar and members of the National Peace Committee for the 2015 elections were rattled by the stubborn posture and utterance of President Muhammadu Buhari during a meeting with him inside Aso Rock. Abdulsalam had led members of the Peace Committee in another mission to plead with Buhari not to probe the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan. But some of those present at the meeting told SR that the President remained obstinate and made no secret of his determination to proceed with the probe of all those who have stole our money. According to Sahara Reporters, today’s meeting was a stepped up version of previous failed attempts to sway Buhari from his determination to probe acts of corruption by officials of Jonathan’s administration. During Buhari’s US visit, American officials handed him dossiers that detailed stealing perpetrated by key officials of the Jonathan administration. Members of Buhari’s delegat

I Don’t Care If Amaechi Becomes A Minister – Governor Wike

Image
Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, on Wednesday, dismissed the claims that his administration was attacking his former boss and immediate past governor of the state, Rotimi Amaechi, in order to deprive him (Amaechi) of a ministerial appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari. Wike explained that rather than worry about the possible appointment of Amaechi into President Buhari’s cabinet, he was interested in how the state’s funds were managed under the former governor. He claimed that a situation where nothing was left in the state’s treasury on his assumption of office as governor was annoying, worrisome and unacceptable. Wike, who spoke through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Opunabo Inko-Taria, told newsmen in Port Harcourt that it was illogical for anybody to claim that his complaint about corruption in the past administration had any link with Amaechi likelihood of getting a federal appointment. “So, what is he (Ameachi) going to do to him (Wike) as
