Many Ugandan men have reportedly complained to the government that the condoms in Uganda are too small for them. The condoms have been described as being “too short for their sexual organs,” Metro UK reports. According to reports, the small size of the condoms often leads to increased pressure during sex, which tends to cause the condoms to  unexpectedly burst, thus providing inadequate protection against HIV. About 80,000 people in Uganda die every year from HIV. Condoms are seen as an imperative means of battling the disease, and so the government is taking the complaints about the condoms very seriously, and is seeking a lasting solution to the issue. Lagos (NAN) – An Orthorpaedic Surgeon, Akintayo Akindele, on Friday in Lagos, cautioned women against wearing tight body shapers to guard against gastrointestinal problems, nerve damage and even deadly blood clots. Akindele of the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi, Lagos, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that body shaping underwear, popularly called  “girdles’’ among women, were used to achieve a slimmer look. He said that the undergarments which also help women achieve a smooth, flat stomach could pose serious health risk as they may restrict blood flow around the body. “When women wear really tight body shapers, it can decrease and restrict the blood flow. “This can lead to blood clots which can travel to the lungs, heart, the brain and even lead to death. “Tight shape wear can be restrictive; you may have trouble breathing properly. Former head of state, Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida (IBB) has reportedly been hospitalized in Germany. He was rushed to Germany from his residence in Minna, Niger State ten days ago, according to Sahara Reporters. Sources allegedly say that Babangida is “severely ill,” and that his condition is as a result of a “chronic back ailment” which  he had previously had surgery for in Germany.

The heartlessness of some armed robbers who not only steal from their victims, but also kill or maim them, was manifested recently when a gang of armed robbers attacked a pastor of  pentecostal church in Abeokuta, Ogun State and shot him in the mouth for daring to plead that his daughter should not be raped. There was no premonition to suggest that a calamity of immeasurable pro­portion was about to befall the family of eight, made up of husband, wife and six children, consisting of four boys and two girls.   The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Adesola Amosu, on Monday said the military had an idea of where the Nigerian Air Force Alpha fighter jet, which went missing after a military operation in Konduga, Borno State, last Friday, could be. We have an idea of where missing jet could be,” Amosu said in an interview with State House correspondents after meeting with President Goodluck Jonathan and his vice, Namadi Sambo, in Abuja. While noting that the search operation had been challenging, he was optimistic that he would provide credible information about the missing jet before the end of the week. He said: “I am hopeful that before the end of the day or week we should be able to provide credible information as to the location of the aircraft and then the pilots.” Amosu expressed the hope that the pilots, manning the missing jet, might still be alive.
